In the old city of BrugesOn the famous market place of BrugesThe chocho-story, a chocolate museum, there were tons of interesting and nice chocolate objects in the exhibitionThe old hanseatic cityAfter the chocolate museum, we went to the beer museum which was a lot more interestingWe tried all the different grain typesand tasted some different and delicious belgium beersThe famous belfry of bruges, known also from movies 😉From Bruges, with old and picturesque brick-buildings, we went further to…… not so picturesque Brussels.The mighty St. Michaels CathedralAnd some nice pub, in the centre of the cityA bit more outside of the city, we visited the AtomiumBuilt for the world fair in 1958, the model of an iron-molecule (1:165m), was restored completely in 2004-2006102m high, you can access some of the spheres, including the highest one.By coincidence we passed the EU parliament, where “the future is europe”Finally we hung around on the beautiful main square in Brussels…
