In February 2017 we had a short stay in Glasgow, Scotland, to visit our whiskycask at the Glengoyne distillery. Enjoy some pictures of this not so picturesque city and the very picturesque distillery.
In the beautiful city of Glasgow……we found a pub, named the pot stills. It wasn’t the first time we were there and definitely not the last time.Back in the city, after some drams of fine whisky, …… we found another pub. Right after our last visit, nearly four years ago, a helicopter fell into this pub. Finally we found another pub. It was a brewdog-pub and served nice and crisp pints of beer. It’s located just vis a vis of the university of Glasgow. On the next day we had a bustrip to the Glengoyne distillery. After a nice cup of coffee and tea, and a dram of a smooth whisky, ……we had a short tour around the distillery……and entered the heart of it: the still-room.Located on the border of the scotish highlands and lowlands, ……a very intense and fruity whisky is made. See the progress over 30 years in different cask-types, …… which are located in the warehouses of Glengoyne.Between all these casks……we found our own cask, named “Fassimodo”.A toast to the nature around the distillery. The progress over the last four years of our cask.Back in Glasgow……we visited the palace of the people in the park of Glasgow. Shortly before our flight home.
