After some weeks in Ecuador (Gallery) and Galápagos (Gallery) I went on to Colombia.

The former “most dangerous city in the world”, which improved a lot in the last years, e.g. by the public Teleféricos.Sancho Pancho and a tourist!A very impressive couple of statues, which represent the past (bombed statue, 23 deaths) and the future of this city, rich in historyOn the way to Guatapé we had some live music in the carLoading the local public transport in GuatapéWaiting for customersWe had to earn to reach our place for having a bathThe lake of Peñol-Guatapé which was created by a hydroelectric-dam, far away from hereAn overview over a small part of the lakeThe huge city of Medellín in the nightAfter another day-bus-ride I reached the small town of Salento in the coffe-region in the mountainsThe next day, my bavarian friends and me took a hike up to the mountains into the valle de cocoaOn the peak of our hikeOn the other side, it was a bit foggy, but everywhere we have seen the majestic wax-palmsA field of wax-palmsIn a coffe-farm we had the chance to see the whole process from planting the coffee-seeds (beans) to the end-productOn my last bus-trip to BogotáThe hostel Lima Limon, where I spent my last nights in Colombia. Thanks to the Argentinian receptionists 😉On the bicycle-tour through Bogotá we had the chance to try many different fruits. Here the better known dragon fruit.Have a seatShortly before I went home, we decided to take part on the Graffiti tour through the center of Bogotá“Stand still!”
